Dr. Brian McNamara

Brian is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and former Division 1 All-American athlete with a unique background that bridges high-level athletics, rehabilitation, and performance development. As a former Division I football player and 2-time All-American at Sacred Heart University, Brian spent six years competing at a high level of collegiate athletics, giving him firsthand insight into the physical demands, injury risks, and performance requirements of elite sport.

Brian earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Sacred Heart University while continuing to pursue his passion for athletic performance and strength & conditioning. His experience includes working with NFL athletes preparing for the combine, as well as training and treating individuals from professional and collegiate athletes to active adults and recreational fitness enthusiasts.

Brian has a passion for treating athletes of all disciplines, and has extensive professional experience with field sport athletes, barbell athletes, including Olympic weightlifters, powerlifters, and CrossFit competitors, as well as combat sport athletes such as kickboxers and mixed martial artists. His treatment philosophy combines evidence-based rehabilitation with performance-driven strength and conditioning principles to help athletes not only recover from injury but return stronger, more resilient, and better prepared for the demands of their sport.

Having navigated the physical and mental demands of high-level competition firsthand, Brian knows what it takes to perform under pressure and overcome setbacks, and understands the value in movement quality and individualized programming toward long-term athletic development and durability. His goal is to help every client, from professional athletes to weekend warriors, optimize performance, reduce injury risk, and achieve their highest potential!

Outside of the clinic, Brian enjoys strength training, jiu jitsu, hiking with his dogs, playing spikeball, and playing the drums.
